After teaching for ten years, Julia decided to make a change. Taking a leave from teaching, she gained her certificate in architectural drafting in 1997 from the University College of the Fraser Valley.
Since then, Julia has had her own home-based business and has designed and drafted the plans for a number of homes in the Shuswap.
